Meet the Ollie Coach

Introducing Amy Samouelle

For years, I worked in a specialist cancer hospital helping oncology professionals communicate with compassion, especially during the hardest conversations. I trained healthcare teams to break bad news, share sensitive information, and support patients with empathy. The heart of my work was person‑centred communication that makes people feel seen, heard, and held.

Alongside this, I began working with young people and families, training as an Ollie coach. I became deeply interested in emotional regulation and healthy coping mechanisms- especially how children learn to understand and manage big feelings.

I realised the communication skills I taught professionals are exactly the skills parents need when supporting their children through intense emotions. Because the way we respond to children’s feelings shapes how they learn to respond to themselves.

I’m bringing my communication expertise to a new audience: Parents, caregivers, and anyone supporting children’s emotional wellbeing. Because when adults communicate with compassion, children learn to do the same- with themselves and others.
